As we enter the New Year, we continue to see kitchens become more than just a place to prepare meals.  They’ve transformed into multifunctional spaces that reflect personal style, sustainability and even advancing technology.   Here’s the hottest kitchen design trends to watch out for in 2025.

 

Let’s first start with cabinetry colors.

Like 2024, green will remain the most popular color for painted kitchen cabinetry, with blue being a runner up.  While white cabinetry is always a safe and classic choice for kitchen cabinetry, we do see cabinetry shifting to more organic colors, including creams, taupes and mushrooms.

If Stained wood cabinetry is more your style.

According to the 2025 Kitchen Trends Report put out by the National Kitchen & Bath Association, painted cabinetry will no longer by the star of the kitchen, with over 61% of industry professionals believing that wood grain will again take precedence in kitchen design.  Specifically, white oak.  We couldn’t agree more with this trend prediction and appreciate the unique texture and beauty white oak cabinet brings to a space.

Hidden Kitchen Design

One of the biggest trends to be expected in 2025 is the hidden kitchen design.  The demand for hidden appliances, doors and pantries has greatly increased as not only a great way to minimize clutter but also keep a clean aesthetic.  Think dishwashers and refrigerators with panel-ready fronts that blend with cabinets.  Another way we love to conceal items in the kitchen is through appliances garages, which offer a mix of organization with a sleek look.

Make your Kitchen Sink Work for you with a New Workstation. 

Gone is the day of the traditional sink in favor of workstations offering significant bells and whistles.  Utilizing a workstation with built-in cutting boards, drying racks or strainers exponentially increases productivity in the kitchen.

Countertop Conundrums be gone.

Natural stone countertops are a standout kitchen trend for 2025, bringing timeless elegance and durability to the heart of the home. Brass is one of the most timeless materials you can choose for your kitchen, and we don’t see that heading out of style anytime soon.  Another option that brings a chic and modern impact to kitchens are black accents.  Black pairs well with both neutral and bold colors and can easily strike a contrast that enhances any kitchen design.

 Range Hoods as a focal point. 

Range hoods are less of a trend and more of a classic in our books.  The way we see range hoods headed is away from metals and into more of an organic look, in regard to material as well as color.  Warm white hoods in plaster can warm up a space perfectly.
